Terms and Conditions
During the High Season, June, July, August and September we prefer to take a 7-night booking which is Saturday to Saturday. We are very flexible during the Mid and Low Seasons with any arrival and departure day with a minimum rental period of a 3-night stay.
Please contact us if you have a query regarding this arrangement, we are very flexible.

CHARGES & TERMS:
A non-refundable deposit of £100.00, for each week or part week, must be received within 7 days of the booking otherwise the dates requested will be released. The balance to be received, at the latest, 6 weeks before your arrival date.
Barn Cottage owners reserve the right to cancel the booking when full payment has not been received 5 weeks before the arrival date. Your home address and contact telephone number will be required before we can accept a booking.
COVID-19 Uncertainties and Local Lockdowns
If your chosen dates have to be cancelled and you are unable to travel due to a Full Lockdown in your home area but Barn Cottage Bakewell is still available for occupation, monies paid can be used for booking a suitable future date, plus any seasonal changes less the £100 non-refundable deposit.
Alternatively, if Bakewell area is involved with Full Lockdown, your booking will have to be cancelled but, you can reuse all monies paid, including the £100 deposit for future dates to suit when available plus any seasonal changes.
In the event of a cancellation, if less than six weeks before arrival. We will make every effort to re-let the cottage on our website, if successful we will refund the balance that you have paid, less the £100 deposit. However, if we are unable to re-let we have to advise that you will be liable for the full cost of the holiday booking. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out your own Holiday Cancellation insurance cover.
We accept all major Credit and Debit cards, also cheques or electronic internet transfer by arrangement. Bank details will be available if requested. Please make cheques payable to Mr J E Beach and post to Long Meadow Cottage, Coombs Road, Bakewell DE45 1AQ.
DAMAGES & BREAKAGES:
All damages and breakages caused during occupancy are your responsibility – You are expected to take care of the property and its contents whilst in your occupancy.
Under no circumstances should more than 2 people occupy the cottage overnight, with the exception of babies in cots.
CAR & BICYCLES:
Visitors are welcome to park their car on the owners courtyard in front of the cottage and their bicycles under cover of the carport at their own risk. The owners of Barn Cottage Bakewell accept no responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage.
We do not have the parking facility on our courtyard for camper vans or commercial vehicles of any size
Well behaved house trained dog(s) are welcome to Barn Cottage, an £8 per night charge per dog will apply. Please notify us if you intend to bring your dog when making the initial booking.
The cottage is definitely No Smoking.
BED LINEN & TOWELS:
All bed linen, tea towels, personal towels, soaps and toilet rolls, kitchen roll and napkins are included in the rental charge.
GAS & ELECTRICITY:
All electricity, gas and water usage is included in the rental charge.
Before your arrival the cottage is meticulously cleaned and presented by Wendy or Lucy, our housekeepers. You are politely requested that you leave the cottage in a condition that you would like to find it. The owners of Barn Cottage reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning and materials if the cottage and equipment are left in an excessively dirty or damaged condition.
The cottage to be vacated by the latest 10am on your day of departure. This gives us time to service the cottage before the next guests arrive at 2pm.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time if the cottage is subject to circumstances beyond our control before your arrival. Under these circumstances you will receive a full refund.
